Mariam El Sayeh is a UK-based freelance journalist and media consultant with extensive experience at some of the world’s most respected news organisations, including Al Jazeera, BBC, and The New Arab.

An elected member of the NUJ Ethics Council and Training Officer at the NUJ London Freelance Branch, she brings a rare combination of frontline journalism, institutional knowledge, and community trust — built over years of covering complex political stories across the UK, the Middle East, and beyond.

Over her career, Mariam has worked with the world’s most prominent newsrooms while building direct access to the highest levels of political decision-making — interviewing heads of state, senior ministers, and figures of significant historical and political weight. Her work spans exclusive documentaries, breaking news, and in-depth political analysis for audiences across multiple continents.
